There are many young people in Australia (as many as 347,700 under the age of 25) who help out a family member who has a long-term illness, disability or drug or alcohol issue

The NSW Young Carer Program has lots of fun and supportive activities for young carers (25 yrs or under). Some of these include:

• Camps
• Quarterly newsletter
• Talk-link (Telephone group counselling)
• Face-to-face counselling
• Information about Young Carer Activities across NSW
• Telephone support/information/referrals
• Interactive young carer website

There is usually no payment required for these activities, however, donations are always welcome
