Foundations Program
Foundations is a two-day course for families and carers of people with a mental illness or mental health problem.
Do you ever find mental illness and the mental health system confusing?
Do others tell you that you need to look after yourself more?
Do you feel that your needs aren't important?
Do you wonder if others feel the same way?
If you can answer 'yes' to any of these questions, think about coming along to a Foundations course near you.
During the two days you will learn about different mental illnesses and the mental health system as well as strategies for coping, self-care and managing stress.
The group format also offers the opportunity to meet and talk to others in your area who are in a similar situation.
The course is free and available to young adult carers aged 18 and over.
