What do you like to do for fun?
I love to walk, run and play. Swimming at the beach. Playing with my children and cats and dog. I love to draw and paint and dance.

What is something surprising about you?

I can do a pretty good head stand. I am very relaxed.

What is your claim to fame?
Enjoying motherhood and being happily married.

What inspires you?
Optimistic and humble people. I like being energetic. Children also inspire me.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
I want to be a counsellor working with youth.

What do you like about young carer camps?
Having lots of fun. Learning about carers and myself.

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?

Upside is being inspired, lots of fun, energy of the group. Downside is being so tired and overwhelmed.

What do you like to do for fun?
Walking my dog, Chuck Norris. Going to the gym and playing sport with my mates.

What is something surprising about you?

I used to perform regularly in amateur musical societies across Sydney. Some of the musicals i've done are West Side Story, Back to the 80's and Grease.

What is your claim to fame?
I make a legendary macaroni and cheese.

What inspires you?
Music such as ACDC, Cold Chisel and anything 80's.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
To give something back to the community, meet new people and have some have worked in the community services field for almost 7 years and wanted to do something different in the sector.

What do you like about young carer camps?
The friendships and social contacts you see forming between young carers on the camp.

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?

Good: the activities, the food =)
Bad: The camp finishing!!!

Paint, draw and watch movies.

I am a private investigator!

I once won the lotto.

People and kindness.

To learn more about myself and others.

Meeting everyone!

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?
Making new friends but being away from my family.

Play with my cats, listen to music, cycle, watch movies , cook and eat.

I really like country and western music.

My dad built Paul McCartney's meditation hut.

What inspires you?
Music, nature and Nelson Mandela.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
To meet new people, support young carers, have fun.

What do you like about young carer camps?
Hanging out with people, the activities and hearing young carer stories.

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?
Good - having fun.
Bad - bunk beds.

What do you like to do for fun?
Tennis, movies, travel, photography and hanging out with friends.

What is something surprising about you?

I love white water rafting!

What is your claim to fame?
I have a cousin who was the number 1 world champion in female surfing.

What inspires you?
My friends and family that surround me.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
I love working with youth at different camps, both here in Australia and overseas. My Grandfather has a mental illness so I have a small amount of understanding as to what the young careers go through each day.

What do you like about young carer camps?
4 full days or fun, sun (Well maybe not at the last Camp Rathane) and laughs!

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?

The Good: Meeting so many amasing young people and hearing their stories. The Tough: Counting down the days 'til you have to go home.

What do you like to do for fun?
Sport, reading classics and watching movies.

What is something surprising about you?

I surprise myself all the time. And I haven't watched a television show in like 3 months!

What is your claim to fame?
I was on the news once when I was in year one. AND I was dux of my school.

What inspires you?
Strong female leaders.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
To meet amazing young carers and have a heap of fun.

What do you like about young carer camps?

Getting to know incredibly strong, brave young carers.

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?
Hearing everyone's stories, watching young carers make friends with each other and ...... saying goodbye.

What do you like to do for fun?
Travel and spend time with friends.

What is something surprising about you?

I have lived on three different continents.

What is your claim to fame?
My Bollywood dance performance at a school production in Nepal.

What inspires you?
Ordinary people achieving extraordinary things.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
Camps are always great fun and I really enjoy spending time with the fantastic campers. 

What do you like about young carer camps?
The great activities organised like disco night and sports.

What are the good and tough bits of being a camp leader?

Its great being inspired by the campers but the lack of sleep is really tough.

Anything active like outdoor adventure sports.

I have 2 sons - 7 & 5 - and I lived on a tall ship for a while.

I was taught to cook by a famous chef.

What inspires you?
Helping others improve.

Why did you decide to volunteer at young carer camps?
To grow my understanding of children.

All the energy.
